Southport's Scarisbrick Hotel closed for refurbishment. Arriving guests told to go to the Prince of Wales
The Scarisbrick Hotel on Lord Street in Southport has closed for refurbishment. A note stuck to the front door with sticky labels advises guests to go to the sister Britannia Hotel, The Prince of Wales on the opposite side of Lord Street.
It is not clear if you will then be staying at the Prince of Wales or just check in there and walk back to the Scarisbrick.
Checking Britannia's booking page the next available date for the Scarisbrick is 1st February 2023.
After contacting Britannia by phone a rather curt gentleman said just go to the Prince of Wales and stay there.
If Britannia knew the hotel was going to be closed why would they accept bookings?
