Southport Sees Surge in Overnight Car Thefts; Police Seek Public's Help

Police are investigating thefts from cars that took place in the early hours of Tuesday the 21st November in the Part Street to Hampton Road area of Southport.

The offender is likely to have tried multiple vehicles in the area before finding any that they could get into, so we are appealing to residents on those roads and the surrounding area, who have CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcams to review their footage between midnight and 06:00am. Always double check that doors of vehicles are locked when you park up for the night. Maybe even have one last check before you go to bed. And ensure you always remove anything of value from your vehicle. Never leave anything on display.
