After exiting the FA Trophy on Saturday they will be looking to bounce back to winning ways. The Trophy defeat was the first loss in 15 games.
There is a growing list of injury concerns and manager Liam Watson will be taking stock of the players available before naming his starting 11. One player likely to be making his debut is new signing Tyler Walton who has joined the club on loan from Farsley Celtic until the end of the season. Speaking to Tyler at half time in the Solihull game he told our media team just how much he was looking forward to playing at Southport and can’t wait to get started after an uncertain time at Farsley.
Southport are in 6th place unbeaten in eleven league games since the 3-1 defeat at York on October 9th.
Bradford come into the game fresh having had no game at the weekend and currently sit in 19th place. They have four wins under their belt 2-1 at Darlington, 2-1 at home to Blyth, 3-2 home to Telford and the most recent win saw them beat Chester 1-0 ten days ago. Liam Watson was in attendance to see them go down 4-2 at home to Gateshead last Monday when after being 3-0 down at half time they battled back well to 2-3 before conceding late on.
Bradford are something of a bogey side here at Haig Avenue, you have to go back as far as 2004-05 to find our solitary home win against the Yorkshiremen.
