After four games on the road and a few miles on the clock we have a welcome return to Haig Avenue for a game under the lights.

The horror show at Chester has been erased from memory and the four points from the last two games on the road saw the true Southport in action.

We picked up a few bumps and bruises on Saturday and Liam will be taking stock of his squad before naming the starting X1.

Curzon come here fresh after no weekend game and sit in 10th place but they have played two games less than most teams around them. We saw in the Boxing Day game what a good footballing side Adam Lakeland has pulled together and I don’t think many would argue that our visitors have been something of a surprise package this season.

The 1-0 win at Fylde is the stand out score of the season plus a 0-0 at Brackley demonstrate the improvement at Curzon this season.
