Southport v Darlington this evening KO 7.45

Southport have a good recent home record against our visitors but as manager Liam Watson says that counts for nothing, it’s what happens on the pitch on the day that counts.

Darlington had a fine 3-1 opening day win against Gloucester City and followed that up with a point at Chorley courtesy of a late equaliser.

Southport have now gone 10 games without a win in the league at home, a run that stretches back to the end of January when Guiseley were defeated 2-1. Only three defeats in that time with 7 draws.
