Southport Woman Pronounced Dead After Being Found Unconscious

Police can confirm emergency services were called to Chapel Street, Southport just after 9.15am on Sunday (31 March 2024) following concerns for a woman who appeared to be unconscious on a bench.
 
Emergency services attended and the woman was treated at the scene and taken to hospital. She was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
 
The woman’s next of kin have been informed and her death is not believed to be suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
