Specsavers Southport Marks 35 Years of Excellent Eye Care

AN OPTICIANS in Southport held a celebration in store to mark 35 years since opening their doors. 

Since 1991, Specsavers Southport has supported thousands of residents with essential eye services and optical care - serving generations of families in the local community. 

The store is at the heart of the community, having built a strong reputation for clinical exellence and community engagement over the years. 

Located on Eastbank Street, the store is run locally by retail directors, Victoria Dunn and Mark Roberts, and ophthalmic director Rebecca Billington, and backed by more than 250 years of experience between the team - including the longest serving colleague who recently celebrated 25 years with the store. 

Since opening its doors, the store has undergone numerous expansions, including moving onto the first floor, increasing the number of testing rooms, and keeping the lab onsite so frames can be manufactured in-store for a quick turnaround.

As part of the celebrations, the store held competitions for their customers throughout the weekend - including a spin the wheel for customers to win discounts and prizes in store.

Victoria Dunn, director at Specsavers Southport, says: ‘It’s wonderful to celebrate 35 years of service in Southport. So much has changed over the years, but our commitment to eye health and quality customer service never falters.

‘Since opening in 1991, we’ve served generations of Southport families and have built up trust in the community, and we take that very seriously.

‘We’re as dedicated as ever to serving the local community, with our recent support of the Star Trekk walk a sign of that. We will be continuing our community outreach throughout our 35th year and have already named Queenscourt Hospice as our charity of the year.
