Southport drawn away to Garstang in Lancashire Challenge Trophy
Southport will begin their Lancashire Challenge Trophy campaign away to Garstang on Wednesday, September 23.
The first-round match is scheduled for a 7.45pm kick-off at Garstang’s Riverside ground.
Garstang play in the North West Counties League First Division North, one level below Southport in the non-league pyramid.
The clubs previously met in the competition during the 2018-19 season, when Southport won 3-1 away. The quarter-final tie was played on December 19, 2018, in front of 120 people.
Jordan Archer opened the scoring before Dion Charles added two goals after coming on as a substitute.
Southport went on to win the Lancashire Challenge Trophy that season, beating Colne 3-1 in the final.
Garstang are also scheduled to face Steeton on Wednesday, September 16 and Flixton on Saturday, September 19.
