Southport start 2026-27 campaign with first visit to Hebburn Town
Southport FC begin their 2026-27 Enterprise National League North campaign away to newly promoted Hebburn Town on Saturday, August 8. Kick-off is at 3pm.
It will be Southport’s first visit to Hebburn, who are preparing for their first season in National League North. Southport also started last season away to a newly promoted side, losing 2-0 at Merthyr Town, and will be hoping for a better result this time.
The club says two full coaches will travel north, with further supporters expected to make the journey by car and train.
Supporters can buy tickets in advance. Cash and card payments will also be available at the turnstiles on the day.
Manager Neil Danns faces a selection decision after a busy summer and six build-up games. The club says the stronger squad has given several players a claim for a starting place, with the line-up due to be confirmed at 2pm on Saturday.
Full match commentary is expected to be available from around 2.50pm, subject to suitable facilities at Hebburn’s ground.
