Storm Franklin: Bus shelter badly damaged in Southport

Severe winds over night and this morning have badly damaged a bus shelter next to Dunes Leisure Centre .The advertising section has fallen off sending glass across the road surface.

Winds are expected to pick up again but not as strong.

This Evening and Tonight:

It will be a dry evening with clear spells at first. However, cloud will thicken from the west with outbreaks of light and patchy rain developing. After a brief lull in the winds it will turn fairly windy again later. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday:

After a breezy, showery start on Tuesday a band of wet and windy weather will sweep through during the morning, giving way to sunshine and scattered showers for the afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Bright at first on Wednesday, but turning cloudy and windy with patchy rain arriving. Wet and windy overnight, then sunshine and showers, some wintry on Thursday. Mostly fine on Friday.
