Subway on the Ocean Plaza in Southport has closed down permanently

The Subway branch on the Ocean Plaza in Southport has closed down permanently from the 31st of December. A simple sign in the widow says " Store permanently closed from the 31st from 3pm. Thank you for everything.

The closure comes as a Starbucks opened up next to the Pier. This must have taken away a considerable amount of trade from Subway. Too many places to eat and not enough people to make them viable.

There are still Subway outlets in Southport Town Centre, Cambridge Road, and Spar on Liverpool Road.

Two other food outlets have also closed recently  92 Degrees on Lord Street and Villaggio Cucina in Birkdale Village
