Teenage boy hit by car on Town Lane in Southport this morning

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Police attended an accident on Town Lane, Southport, this morning, Monday 7 March, following a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

Emergency services attended and the male cyclist was taken to hospital for an injury to his leg.

The driver of the car, a silver Honda, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.
