What is the British Musical Fireworks Championship?

The British Musical Fireworks Championship is an annual competition where teams perform a musical display with fireworks.

Competitors are judged on their choreography, originality, and use of music.

The competition uses 2 tonnes of explosives and fires over ten tonnes worth of fireworks. Each show requires 5 km of wiring and is set up by a team of around 15 technicians who spend over 12 hours setting it up!

 

Where is the Competition Located?

The British Musical Fireworks Championship is held at Victoria Park in Southport, England.

 

When is it?

The British Musical Fireworks Championship will be run from Friday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 25th.

Gates open every night from 18:00 and each display will be 15 minutes.

How much is it to go?

Friday and Sunday group standing tickets are from just £7, Saturday group standing tickets start at £9, or you can enjoy a full weekend pass for £22. Children under 5 are FREE but do need an entrance ticket.
