Three injured after Police car smashes into taxi in Southport
A roads Policing Officer released the following statement.
“We can confirm that officers were injured in Southport following a road traffic collision in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 19 August.
At around 12.45am, reports were received of a police car in collision with a private hire taxi at the junction of St Lukes Road and Sussex Road.
Two officers received minor injuries and a taxi passenger received slight injuries. The police car was en route to a 999 call.
Both vehicles were recovered and the road was reopened around 2.40am.
