Three Men from Chester, St. Helens, and Colne Charged in Southport Disorder

Three more men have been charged in connection to violent disorder in Southport.

Joshua Jones, 31, of St Mark’s Road, in Chester, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday 14 August.

Andrew Jackson, 41, of Ramford Street, in St Helens, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis). He has also been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Jonathan Duerden, 31, of The Cresent, in Colne, Lancashire, has been charged with violent disorder. He has been remanded to appear at Wirral Magistrates’ Court this morning.

It brings the number of charges for disorder in Merseyside to 38 people, with 12 of these already sentenced to prison.
