Three more call outs for Southport Lifeboat on Sunday

Our lifeboat and quads were tasked by Holyhead Coastguard to assist in the search for a missing child at Formby beach. 

Our quads entered the beach at Southport and headed towards Formby, while our lifeboat headed to the launch site. As our units were en-route to Formby, they were stood down as the child had been located.

The pagers sounded once again, calling for the assistance of our quad bikes and rescue trailer to a male with a leg injury on Formby Beach.

As the quads were nearing Formby, they were stood down with the incident being resolved by the assets on scene.

Our pagers were activated to reports of a female missing in the water in the vicinity of Formby. Our lifeboat launched at Southport and conducted a tideline search from Ainsdale to Formby; a search mirrored on the beach by our ATV quad bikes.  After a short search, our units were stood down after the female had been located by the police.
