Tragic Death on Line Near Formby, Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene

A spokesperson from BTP said: "Officers were called to the line near Formby at 3.50pm today (22 August) following reports of a casualty on the line. Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

I’ve just got home after being on the train that hit the person, just a message for those insensitive complete t**ts who clapped and cheered when the train got moving again, you are disgusting   Ok so we got held up for a while, at least we’ve all got home tonight, unlike the poor person who took their life. Not really an inconvenience in the grand scale of things is it! Thank you to the train manager/security for keeping us as informed as was possible, and thank you to the replacement driver who came to bring us to Ainsdale. My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the person involved, and also with the poor train driver who will be traumatised x
