Marine Drive to close for six days during Southport Airshow
Southport’s Marine Drive will close for six days from Wednesday 26 August, including the bank holiday Monday on 31 August.
Local traffic will be diverted along the Promenade while the closure is in place.
The restrictions will cover the run-up to the Southport Airshow, which takes place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August 2026. The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the seafront.
The Red Arrows are due to appear at this year’s show, with flying displays taking place across the weekend.
