Merseyrail cancels early services on Southport line for track checks
On Sunday 25 October some first trains of the day will run without passengers to ensure lines are clear and safe for use.
A full list of cancelled Merseyrail services and the planned first passenger services are provided below.
If an issue is found when lines are being route proved further services may be cancelled. We strongly advise customers to check our website or app before travelling, as service information will be updated throughout the day.
Planned engineering work will also continue on Sunday 25 October. Rail replacement buses will run between some stations on all lines, click here for more information.
The following services will not run on Sunday 25 October so that the tracks can be checked before passenger services begin:
Southport line
New Brighton line
New Brighton to Birkenhead North
