Two arrested in Southport after drugs found

Officers from Marsh Lane Target Team 1 have today arrested two males from Southport on suspicion of drug supply offences.

Officers sighted a vehicle in the Southport area that then failed to stop when instructed to do so by police. Following a pursuit, two males have been detained, and arrested for drug supply offences after drugs and cash were recovered. The driver was also arrested for failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and also failed a roadside drugs wipe.

Further searches also resulted in drugs and a large quantity of cash being recovered believed to be from the proceeds of crime.

The vehicle has been seized by police and both are now awaiting interview in custody.
