Two men arrested in Ash Street Southport on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs
Officers from the Local Policing Team at Southport Police Station arrested two local Southport men on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class ‘A’ drugs.
A car showing no insurance was seen by officers on Ash Street. As the car was followed, officers saw a small package thrown from the passenger window.
The car was stopped and one of our PCSO’s soon found the discarded package, which contained a number of small wraps of suspected class 'A' drugs. During a search of the car, a large amount of cash was also found and seized.
The men were both arrested and taken to custody and searches of their properties were carried out. These arrests follow those of two other men arrested for drug offences by Operation Pelican Officers on duty in Southport earlier in the week. Investigations continue.
