Two men from Southport arrested along with 15 others across the region

Police have arrested 17 men and women across Sefton as part of an operation to locate and detain outstanding suspects.

Operation Sprint prioritises those suspected of posing the greatest risk to victims and communities, supporting wider efforts to reduce crime. It forms part of Sefton BCU’s ongoing commitment to making our communities safer.

The operation was delivered using resources from Proactive Teams, Neighbourhood Policing, CID, the Public Protection Unit and Response Policing.

Hannah Robinson, 36, from Bootle, was charged with a breach of a restraining order. She remains in custody pending a court appearance today.

Bernard Daley, 47, from Netherton, was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody pending a court appearance in August.

Steven McIntosh, 55, from Southport, has been charged with failing to appear at court for drugs matters. He remains in custody pending a court appearance today.

Dominic Sutcliffe, 48, from Bootle, was charged with an offence of theft from a shop. He remains in custody pending a court appearance today.

Rebecca Craig, 46, from Bootle, was charged with an offence of theft from a shop. She remains in custody pending a court appearance today.

Andrew Andersen, 57, from Liverpool, appeared in court on Thursday 18 June and was found guilty of harassment. He received a 12-month suspended sentence.

Philip Dean, 54, from Crosby, has been charged with assault. He will appear in court later today.

A 14-year-old girl from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of assault. She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 13-year-old girl from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of assault. She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 55-year-old man from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated assault and common assault. He remains in custody awaiting interview.

A 12-year-old boy from Hightown, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 36-year-old woman from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 16-year-old boy from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He is currently in custody awaiting interview.

A 45-year-old man from Litherland, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. He is currently in custody awaiting interview.

A 44-year-old man from Netherton, was arrested on suspicion of rape of a child under the age of 13 and animal cruelty. He is currently in custody awaiting interview.

A 29-year-old man from Southport, was arrested on suspicion of a sexual assault. He is currently in custody awaiting interview.

A 54-year-old man from Netherton, was arrested on suspicion of coercive and controlling behaviour, malicious communication and stalking. He is currently in custody awaiting interview.
