United Utilities raised more than £28,000 for Macmillan in 2023.

Staff from the North West’s water company raised the money through events like bike rides, coffee mornings and even a sponsored shave!

Macmillan has been United Utilities’ charity partner since 2017 and the company has now raised more than £439,000 for them. This year, the company is hoping it will reach £500,000.

Adrienne McFarland, People Director at United Utilities said, “We’re really proud to support the work that Macmillan does.

“Our colleagues continue to amaze me with the various challenges they undertake to help raise important funds for this hugely important charity.”

Megan Kong, Senior Fundraising Manager for Macmillan, said: “We are so grateful to all the staff at United Utilities who have been raising money throughout our partnership to help us be there for more people affected by cancer in the North West. Macmillan Cancer Support are 98% funded by voluntary donations, so the money being raised is so important in helping us deliver the vital support people living with cancer need.”
