Vandals smash one of the last working telephone boxes in Southport

Vandals have smashed the window of one of Southport's last working phone boxes. The phone box is situated on the Marine Drive close to the Ocean Plaza leisure park.

Although the box has seen better days, it works (I rang it ) and could be a lifesaver in an emergency.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact Merseyside police.
