Vandals target Cafe on the closed Southport Pier - Video

A group of three youths climbed over the barriers that have been erected on the closed Southport Pier yesterday evening. They walked down to the end and kicked the shutters on the pavilion trying to gain entry.

The Pier Pavillion said with a hint of sarcasm... 

That fencing is working great Sefton Council.

Not only are we not able to operate our business but vandals seem even more attracted to exploring our “abandoned site” now. And giving it a good bash. Our heavily invested in business is not safe down there.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside police.
