Wanted criminal's ram unmarked Police vehicle in Waterloo

The driver of this vehicle today decided that he would fail to stop for the police and ram anything in his way including the unmarked police vehicle in Waterloo

Both males were detained and arrested by Merseyside Police’s Fugitive team and Operation Pelican Officers. The driver, a 29-year-old male, from Netherton, was found to be wanted on a prison recall, the passenger, a 23-year-old male also from Netherton, was wanted for Road Traffic matters.

Officers have then located a flat used by the males in the city centre whilst attempting to evade officers. This has since been searched and officers have recovered over £2,000 believed to be from criminal proceeds.
The vehicle was also suspected of being stolen from the Preston area

Both males remain in custody awaiting questioning in regards to todays incident before the 29-year-old will be returned to His Majesty's Prison.
