Waterloo Road in Southport to be closed for three weekends

Please be aware that Waterloo Road, Birkdale will be temporarily closed for contractors  to undertake works on behalf of  Mersey Rail in relation to installing a lift for passengers. 

The closure will take place between 18th December 2021 and 16th January 2022 over 3 weekends only between 19.00hrs and 07.00hrs

18th December 2021 - 19th December 2021

8th January 2022-9th January 2022

15th January 2022-16th January 2022

Access will be maintained for Emergency Services, and wherever possible for residents.

The diversion route will be via Liverpool Road, Weld Road, Lulworth Road, Waterloo Road and vice versa.
