Last week, as part of County Lines Intensification Week, thousands of pounds in cash, Class A and Class B drugs, weapons and mobile phones were seized across the division, which covers Preston, Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.

County Lines is the transportation of illegal drugs from one area to another, usually by children or vulnerable adults who are coerced into it by criminal gangs.

Here’s what we did across South Lancashire as part of the week:
  20 people arrested
  26 stop searches conducted
10 vulnerable people visited and safeguarded
  Cash totalling £8,160 seized
A quantity of drugs including heroin, cocaine, cannabis and ketamine seized
10 weapons including a samurai sword, knuckle duster and stun gun seized
  11 phones seized
