P-51 Mustang ‘Jersey Jerk’ to fly at Southport Air Show 2026
A P-51 Mustang named Jersey Jerk will join the flying display at Southport Air Show 2026.
The historic aircraft is due to appear over Southport seafront on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August 2026. The Second World War-era fighter will take part in the weekend programme.
The P-51D Mustang is operated in the UK as a flying warbird. Its name, Jersey Jerk, was originally used by American pilot Major Donald Strait for one of his wartime aircraft.
The Mustang joins a 2026 line-up that includes the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the RAF Tutor, Richard Goodwin’s Jet Pitts, the Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers, the Strikemaster Display Team and the Gazelle Squadron.
Southport Air Show will be held on the seafront across the final weekend of August, with flying displays scheduled for both days.
