Woodlands – Appeal for a loving home for Sox & Smudge

The time has finally come for the two wonderful kittens Sox and Smudge to fly the nest and find their own forever loving home.  These two, along with their sister Cookie had a terrible start to life and had to be hand reared from the moment they were born.  One of Woodlands Animal Sanctuary’s wonderful volunteers Jo, took this commitment on and hand fed them around the clock for weeks.  The last month they have spent in Vickie’s house, who is one of the charity’s founding trustees, where they have been lovingly weaned and learnt essential life skills such as curtain climbing and how to train humans!

Due to these girls being hand reared from day one, they are very definitely not like most other kittens and understand boundaries much less than kittens who have had the luxury of a cat as their mother.  Woodlands will only rehome these girls as a pair and to home who are prepared to allow them to be house cats forever.  Further to this, the team are asking for people who are only out for short portions of each day, to apply for these kittens.  Sox and Smudge are good with children and happily accept well behaved dogs.

Smudge does have a very sensitive tummy, but she has a very clear diet plan, that works for her and this will need to continue to be strictly followed indefinitely.

Both girls will be vaccinated, micro-chipped, fully vet checked and have four weeks free insurance with Pet Plan.  This is standard with every rehoming cat from Woodlands.

If you meet these criteria and feel like Sox and Smudge would complete your family, apply by using the following link and Alex, the rescue’s Re Homing Officer will contact you as soon as she can.  Alex is very busy with applications and appointments, and asks that if you have sent in an application, to be patient; she will get back to you as soon as she can, it just may not be as soon as you would like.
