Woodlands Animal Sanctuary finds new homes for 8 cats
On a wild & windy afternoon at the start of February, you left us with warm wholesome feelings. Woodlands Animal Sanctuary ran another popular Adoption Afternoon last weekend & had a lovely turn out of people who wanted to give the deserving cats in their care another chance at a happy ever after. Whether they were at the very start of their journey or were looking to choose their furry companion, Alex and the team loved talking to you all.
In total, 5 sets of cats were reserved, meaning a total of 8 cats are a step closer to starting their new lives. Alex has sent all the home checks off, so their rehoming process is moving along nicely. The whole team at Woodlands would like to thank everyone for coming & showing just how much compassion is in this community.
It’s not only these 8 cats who are the lucky ones though. When these cats are waved off to their new homes, they leave behind 5 empty pens, which Woodlands can then utilise to welcome cats from their waiting list. As well as the many emergency admittances, Woodlands does also operate a waiting list, such is the demand for their services. So not only are these 8 cats starting the rest of their lives, now another 5 – 10 cats can also take the first step to their loving forever home.
Just like Snowy, one of the newest cats to be welcomed by Woodlands. Snowing found her sanctuary with Woodlands a week ago after a very kind car salesman, who had been feeding her as a stray noticed her tummy becoming rounder than he expected. She is roughly halfway through her pregnancy and will now be able to enjoy the luxury of being warm, dry and cared for, whilst she gives her all to her unborn babies.
If you would like to keep up with Snowy’s story and any events Woodlands have coming up, do give them a follow on their socials.
