Woodlands Animal Sanctuary Gears Up for a Fun-Filled Family Day
Woodlands – Family Fun Day – Fun for all the family!
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary are in full preparation mode for their Family Fun Day on Saturday 19th August. The stalls are ready to go, the bakers are prepped and just waiting to bake their creations for you to enjoy, the entertainment is booked, and the raffle prizes are lined up. All they need is for you to buy your ticket and join in on the day!
All their animals will be there to see you, and throughout all the preparations for their biggest fundraising event of the year, the team of Animal Carers and volunteers continue to provide the highest level of care they can for all the animals who come through their doors. They are still working their way through kitten season, with several litters with them currently. They are also celebrating the little, & big wins, they see daily, which can simply include a cat who is struggling with shelter life begin to enjoy the company of people once more, building their confidence to give them a chance of a loving forever home.
This has been a huge deal for Tilly. She was originally rehomed from Woodlands as a kitten back in 2016 but has since found her way back to the charity when her owner could no longer cope. Just to add to Tilly’s problems, she is also black and white – a colour that people simply don’t want. Roll on 292 days and Tilly is still with the team – however, with the patience of one of their dedicated and experienced volunteers, Kath, she has gained Tilly’s trust, which has helped them to find a suitable home for her. Tilly’s new mum has been visiting the sanctuary daily, to continue to invaluable work Kath and the team have been doing with Tilly and the team are confident a happy ever after is around the corner for Tilly.
There will be animals, stalls, delicious homemade food, entertainment, magic & their infamous fun Dog Show, & their fabulous summer raffle will be drawn too. All of which should be plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
