Woodlands Animal Charity Hosts Annual Family Fun Day to Support Animals in Need
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary is excited to announce its Annual Family Fun Day, taking place on Saturday 31st August at their site in Holmeswood in Lancashire. This highly anticipated event will bring together families, friends, and animal lovers from across the community for a day filled with fun activities, entertainment, and an opportunity to support animals in need.
The Family Fun Day is one of Woodland’s most significant fundraising events of the year. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the care, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts for the animals at the shelter. The event promises a lively day with activities for all ages, including:
Meeting the animals: Get up close and personal with some of their rescue animals.
Dog Agility Demonstrations: Watch talented dogs showcase their agility skills.
Kid’s Zone: Face painting, bouncy castle slide, and games designed for children.
Tombola & stalls: Win exciting prizes, with all proceeds going to support our shelter.
Rehoming centre: Meet some of our animals currently looking for their forever homes.
Hot & cold food and drinks: Enjoy a variety of delicious food and drinks throughout the day. Vegan and vegetarian options available.
Live Entertainment: Local bands and performers will be providing entertainment throughout the event.
"We're thrilled to bring the community together for a day of fun and to raise much-needed funds for our shelter," said Vickie Blackburn, one of the founding Trustees of Woodlands Animal Sanctuary. "This event not only helps us continue our mission to rescue and rehabilitate animals but also raises awareness about the importance of animal welfare."
The Family Fun Day is open to everyone, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own dogs (on a lead) to join in the fun with their infamous Dog Show. Entires for the dog show are taken on the day.
