Woodlands Animal Sanctuary pleads for help to keep up with demand
Desperate plea from Woodlands – We can’t keep up this rate of demand
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary are sending a direct plea out to you, their wonderful supporters and members of the public, who have stood by them in the past. They need you now! The cost-of-living crisis is hitting everyone hard, including your favourite charity. Their costs are up 40%, whilst their donations are down 70%. Unfortunately, as a charity who relies soley on donations, these odds are not sustainable. They need money in the bank, to continue to meet the increased demands on their services. You can donate in several ways. A single, one-off donation or a regular monthly donation – even just £1 per month from enough people can take a huge weight off their shoulders for fundraising.
There are also initiatives like Give as you live Online, who donate money to a charity of your choice, every time you shop online. This method doesn’t cost you a penny – the businesses pay the donation on your behalf. Or, you can join their sponsorship scheme, by either sponsoring one of their animals, or one of their cat pens and you will receive regular updates and behind the scenes gossip about your animal.
You can find out more about all these methods on their website; A dwww.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk
Currently, there is a national pet crisis throughout the whole of the uk, with competition to raise funds getting considerably harder. Woodlands are currently in a stagnant position; they have a cattery full of cats waiting to be rehomed and no-one to rehome them. This means they are unable to take any of the cats they are contacted about. Please remember; for every cat you rehome, you are also helping another one on its first step to a better life. Not only is it the cats you are helping, but also the families in crisis who are often facing an incredibly difficult decision surrendering their pet.
