Woodlands Animal Sanctuary's Successful Fundraising Update

As we enter the last quarter of the year Woodlands Animal Sanctuary wanted to give you an events update.
They have successfully held their largest on-site fundraising event of the year, with their Family Fun Day back on 13th September. Despite a less than encouraging weather forecast, their supporters still turned out in force and helped them to raise a super £8116. The weather held out and there was a lovely atmosphere.
The Autumn Fashion show was also a great success, with tickets selling out, the stall holders having a busy evening, the models rocking it, bargains gained by all and a fabulous £1106.30 being raised for the animals. The local animal rescue still has 7 mums & kittens in their care, 3 orphaned litters with fosterers, giving a total of 37 kittens! Traditionally, September was the time when Kitten Season was slowing down, but as per the last couple of years & the continuing financial struggles many people are facing, cat surrenders, & unwanted pregnancies are up, because the cost of basic care, is beyond so many families.
There are still a few days to go before their summer raffle is drawn & they have some fabulous prizes, thanks to the generosity of local businesses like the Wheatsheaf in Croston, Stocks Hall Spa, the Rose & Crown pub & Rhapsody in Bloom. Tickets are £1 each & all proceeds go towards looking after the animals in their care over the winter months.
Still to come this year they have their popular Quiz night on 11th October & a festive Bingo night on 6th December, both at Tarleton Bowling Club. Tickets are available for the quiz night from their website at £7.50 each, with nibbles included in the price of the ticket. Plus, to help the grey matter work to its full potential, there is a fully stocked bar at the Bowling Club, ensuring you won’t get dehydrated!
These fundraising events are incredibly important to this dedicated and hard-working animal charity, to help them cover their £1k a day running costs.
All the information for these events can be found on their website & socials, with links to tickets when they are available too. https://www.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk/upcoming-events/
