Young woman who fell from a fire escape at Hey Amigos nightclub in Southport has died

Katie Davenport who fell from the fire escape of Hey Amigos nightclub in Southport on Sunday 4th September has sadly died.

She died in hospital at The Walton Centre on Saturday, September 17th 2022.

Katie's family have said...

Katie’s funeral will take place on the 7th October at 4pm at Southport crematorium, followed at the Metro on Portland street for a celebration of Katie’s short life , there is no dress code but Katie’s favourite colour was green . Only family flowers please but any voluntary donations can be made to the Walton centre on the day.

Everybody is welcome to join us at 6pm next Thursday 22nd to remember Katie at the field next to brewers fair Southport which was the last place the girls were all together . We will be releasing green balloons as this was Katies favourite colour . Please all that knew her join us and bring a green balloon.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said...

"We were called to reports over concern for safety at around 2.55am after a woman fell from a balcony.

"A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition. Officers remain at the scene and we're not looking for anyone in connection to the incident."
