32-Year-Old Halewood Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Southport.

Detectives have arrested a fourth man in connection with an incident in Southport on Friday night, 19 July.
We were contacted at 8.25pm after a 20-year-old man reportedly fell from the rear of a moving white Peugeot Boxer van during a suspected motorbike theft on The Promenade/Leyland Road.
The man suffered head and chest injuries and has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.


In the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 23 July, we arrested a 32-year-old man from Halewood on suspicion of attempted murder and assisting an offender. He is currently in custody.

Leroy Agatha, 22, of Upper Frederick Street, Liverpool, has been charged with conspiracy to steal and fraud by false representation and appeared at Wirral Adult Remand Court yesterday, Monday 22 July. A 22-year-old man from Wavertree and a 19-year-old man from Liverpool City Centre have been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
