A massive clean-up is underway after last night's disturbances in Southport. Large parts of St Lukes Road and Sussex were coverd in rubble after garden walls were smashed down by the rioters.

Residents and local building and landscape gardeners were helping with the clean-up.

37 police officers were injured.
