Officers from Merseyside Police are still at the scene of the incident in Shakespeare Street where a man was arrested following a breach of a non-molestation order.

Yesterday police in riot gear raided the property.

A man has been arrested following a police incident on Shakespeare Street in Southport yesterday afternoon (Saturday 25 February).

At around 3pm officers attended an address on Shakespeare Street to arrest a male following a breach of a non-molestation order.

A 34-year-old man from Southport was arrested earlier today on suspicion of a breach of a non-molestation order, harassment and burglary.

He has been taken to a police station on Merseyside and remains in custody.

We can confirm that emergency services are on Shakespeare Street in Southport this afternoon (Saturday 25 February).

At around 3pm officers attended an address on Shakespeare Street to arrest a male following a breach of a non-molestation order.

A scene is in place in the area as a precaution whilst officers engage with the male inside the house and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
