Ambulance called to Lord St Southport after man falls ill trying to get a Taxi

A disabled man was taken to hospital last night after spending two hours in the pouring rain trying to get a Taxi home after his electric buggy ran out of power.

The man called several taxi firms but all said they did not have the correct vehicle to transport him home.

Customers at Wetherspoons became concerned for the man and after checking him they called the Ambulance service.

A Paramedic arrived and assessed the man before calling for a Ambulance who took him to hospital.

The mans condition is not known but a big thumbs up to the customers and a thumbs down to several Southport Taxi firms.
