Mindless vandals attack Woodvale Community Centre covering it with graffiti

A spokesperson for the Centre commented on Facebook about the mindless vandalism.

We are so disheartened and disappointed to go to the Recreation Centre today and just see it full of graffiti and damage. We have spent so much time trying to get it painted inside and looking nice and our caretaker has just started on the outdoor painting and arrived today to see this.

We have had to use what timber and pieces we have to repair the kicked in boards and the holes that have been made by vandals until we can get more delivered and begin the repairs.

If you recognise this tag/graffiti or you know of anyone who has been involved please let us know. They must have gone home with pink hands and clothes.

It is only over the last couple of months that we have been able to get people back in the centres for activities that have been so desperately needed and unfortunately we now have to spend time repairing, replacing and cleaning up after thoughtless vandals.

If you're able to keep an eye on this building, report any damage or graffiti to us at the Community Centre that would be great.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
