Range Rover stolen in Ainsdale recovered in Southport

A Range Rover stolen in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Ainsdale was found elsewhere in Southport later the same day, thanks to a tracker that had been fitted to the vehicle.

This shows the value of adding trackers to any vehicle, but especially high value cars, vans and motorcycles.
Investigations into the theft continue and local residents in the area of the theft and the area where the car was found have been visited to try and identify any witnesses or CCTV.

We continue to advise owners of keyless ignition vehicles to add extra security measures on top of the manufacturers security systems, and make this type of theft more difficult for offenders.
