Road Replacement Transport Set to Substitute Wigan-Southport Trains in February and March 2024

Buses will replace trains between Wigan and Southport in February and March 2024

Services from Saturday 10 and Sunday 18 February and Monday 18 and Friday 22 March will be road replacement transport. 

Check before traveling and leave extra time for your journey. 

New Lane and Bescar Lane - Notice
Buses are unable to serve New Lane and Bescar Lane stations. Please contact Customer Services to make alternative travel arrangements.

Ticket acceptance 
Customers with tickets from Burscough Bridge, Hoscar and Parbold travelling to Manchester will be permitted to travel via Preston at no extra cost. This arrangement will be in place for the duration of the engineering work and tickets will be valid on Northern services only.
