Southport Coastguard & Lifeboat Crew rescue intoxicated male from Ainsdale Beach during Storm Arwen

Information was received by Holyhead Coastguard Operations Centre regarding an intoxicated male who had entered the beach at Ainsdale during storm conditions.

Our quad bikes were requested to proceed to Shore Road, Ainsdale, to undertake a search for the male alongside Southport and Crosby Coastguard Rescue Teams (CRTs)

Our quads undertook a tide line search heading south towards Formby, while Coastguard officers searched in the vicinity of Shore Road.

The male was soon located by the CRTs and our quad bikes were stood down.
