Thieves are still targeting sheds/garages in the Southport area. Bikes, tools and sporting equipment have been stolen from sheds/garages and sometimes not been reported for a number of days.

The thieves will look for the weakest spot in security and exploit it. So if your padlock is strong, they may use tools to target the hinges. Ensure that bikes are locked with steel D locks even when inside sheds. Cable locks are being cut through.

And add a shed alarm. It doesn't need to be expensive, just something to alert you to call 999 so that we can try and catch the thieves in action.
