Travellers with horse and trap on Southport Prom and Fleetwood Road. Video

A large group of Travellers arrived in Southport this morning and attempted to gain access to Carr Lane field. They were stopped by residents and Police. They moved on to Fleetwood Road next to the Municipal Golf Course.

The majority of them had horses with them and started to race up and down Fleetwood Road before going onto the Promenade. There are no caravans so they are expected to leave
